Donald Trump and the 2016 US Elections and 2017 Presidency

So now that the dust has settled (or has it?) after arguably the most epic election season and result of our time, I'd like to share a deeper perspective drawn from some observations and chassidic wisdom on the significance of Trumps election that you probably wouldn't come across anywhere else.
1) There's a Chassidic truism that the irrationality/folly of evil can only be effectively fought and defeated by an irrationality/folly of good. Rationality of good by itself simply lacks the power. This truism sheds light as to why Romney failed in 2012 and by extension - in my humble opinion - why I don't think any other republican candidate would've been able to ride out the media Onslaught and take down Hillary despite the fact that many of the other republican candidates may have seemed more 'qualified' for the job. I believe it was Trumps sheer 'craziness/irrationality' and ability to challenge conventional norms without being intimidated, that set him apart and put him 'above' all opposition both from within and without, ultimately leading to the defeat of irrational leftist ideology that has been plaguing society for too long.
2) There's another chassidic truism that says 'In order for something to evolve into an even greater something, it must first become a nothing' - an example from nature: a seed must first disintegrate before it can sprout forth. And of course in our own lives there are times when we experience what we might call 'failures/setbacks.' However these 'nothing' moments in our lives are really just the transitional phases between the smaller somebody you once were, and the greater somebody you could potentially become. In other words, failures and setbacks are in essence, opportune platforms for perspective expansion and exponential personal growth. And likewise for a country. This election season has drastically humbled the political establishment of America to say the least, and what the future holds, we have yet to see. I can only speculate based on this truism that we will soon start to see many good things happen.
3) Interestingly Trumps birthday is June 14 1946 which means on his first official day in office as president he was exactly 70 years 7 months and 7 days old. Why is this significant? We'll for a start, we are in the Jewish year of 5777. 70 is also the number the Torah uses when referring to the nations of the world. 7 is also a number loaded with significance in Judaism, representing the order of and perfection in nature, the number of commandments the nations are obligated in, and the list goes on.
4) The numerical value of Donald trumps name in spelled out in Hebrew is the same as Moshiach Ben Dovid - a strong hint that his leadership will be connected with, and will in someway help contribute to the coming of Moshiach.
5) Trump also happens to be Americas 45 president. The number 45 is no coincidence either as kabbalistically speaking, 45 is the numerical value of the divine name/energy which enlivens 'The world of rectification.'
6) Chassidus explains how the famous conflict and ultimate reconciliation between the biblical personalities of Jakob and Esau is destined to play out in their descendants. It is stated as a Halachic ruling that the descendants of Esau hate the descendants of Jakob (hence the irrationality of anti semitism) and it is our current exile - the Edomite exile, that was caused by descendants of Esau in the first place who are also known as Edom. However, our Sages tell us that in the end if days, Edom - which is today's western world - will, as a result of the Jewish people's spiritual service during exile, eventually be transformed from enemy to ally to the point where they help the Jewish people restore Jerusalem and establish the kingdom of G-d on this earth. On this note Trump seems to be a rectified archetype version of Esau. Esau was materialistic, a savvy man of the field, was unpredictable and had a lot of untamed energy. Not too mention he was red. Trump too, could just as easily, fit this description.
7) Now obviously everyone knows that Trump is no saint, but the very fact that such a vulgar and coarse person like Trump could be aligned with doing what G-d's wants by helping the Jewish people, only highlights the far reaching power of this cosmic transformation for the good. When even the lowest echelons of society begin to align themselves with the divine will of their own accord, that is another sure sign of Moshiachs imminence.

Having said all this it's good to keep in mind the following:
1) This post is highly speculative and the Trump administration (as any other entity or thing in the universe) is not an entity in itself but merely serves as a channel for G-d's beneficence.
And 2) Israel has made some of its worst mistakes under the most pro Israel US administrations so ultimately and as always, it's up to us, the Jewish People, to make Israel great again.

Mr John Kerry get lost and stop telling Israel what they can and cannot do.

John Kerry said that if America moves the American Embassy to Jerusalem, it will cause a massive explosion in the Middle East.
Ok Mr. Kerry.
Now explain how the explosion will occur from your point of view.
Now let me tell you of Trump's view.
We move the embassy to Jerusalem.
The Palestinians start going mad and start rioting.
President Trump then tells them(the Palestinians), "you riot, you don't get money'.
End of rioting.
John Kerry. You remind me of your boss (the fool Obama).
In a press conference he was asked why the Carrier company was moving to Mexico, and he replied, "well there is nothing we can do about it".....And Trump did something about it, in Obama's watch. He is not even President yet, yet Carrier have moved 1000 jobs back into America..
So Mr. John (IDIOT) Kerry. The same goes to you. I don't know how you ever qualified to be Secretary of State (perhaps having an Iranian as a son in law, helped), but you seem to have NO IDEA about this region. You seem to see things from the Arab prospective ONLY. Well, as we say in English, you are in for a rude awakening. You will not recognize your country in one years' time, never mind 4 years from now.
But that is ok, after what has happened recently in America, no-one is going to believe you or your left leaning media any more.
Just watch how the world is going to change before your very eyes. And it is going to change to the good.
My only worry is Kerry may just want his predicted result to happen and may work for it to happen.
Mr. John Kerry. you said that "Israel must either be Democratic or Jewish. But cannot be both". Let me tell you that you must be either an IDIOT or STUPID, but you are probably BOTH.

How I saved someone's life - a story by the best Lyft driver in Los Angeles

January 4, 2017
By Moshe Hackner

This story dates back to June 23, 2014 on a monday night.
While driving Lyft and picking up riders, I get a ping from a bar in downtown Los Angeles on Winston St, (likely from the bar "The Lash").

In steps into my vehicle, passenger named A.T.
As we get going, he was too drunk to have entered his address before we started, so he tells me, we're heading to Westwood, and he'll enter the address.

We begin talking, and as a Lyft or Uber driver, or any rideshare service driver, there are multiple 'standard' questions, that most people will ask you. and us drivers, have created our own list of questions that we ask riders.

  • The usual ones are: How's your day going? Is this your only job? How long have you been driving for? Where you from? (usually, based upon our accents). Do you also drive for the other ridesharing company on the side? How do you like working with the company?
  • We ask: How's your day going? Why is your rating so low? How do you like this vs the others? What do you think of the tipping or lack of? Are you aware of how the company treat us drivers? Have you noticed the rates recently went down again and the drivers are getting the short end of the stick? Why do the drivers have to rate the passengers, while the passengers, don't have to rate the drivers? How come, if a drivers rating falls below a certain point, the driver gets kicked off the platform, however, the riders can behave as and how they wish to the drivers and we are obligated and expected to accept all rides? (in our own private vehicles, perform a professional service, deal with people's moods and if we cancel, due to distance or rider rating, we get penalized by the company).

Moving right along, to make this easier on the eyes, I will write it as a question and answer.
Me: I ask AT how his night was?
AT: Not very good.
Me: Didn't I just pick you up at a bar? You must have had some drinks, that should say it was good.
AT: To start with, I had a fight with my best friend.
Me: Verbal or Physical?
AT: Physical, he punched me in the face. AT continues to tell me, that for the last 5 nights, he gotten stone drunk and he doesn't feel any value in life. He's educated, has a good job, gets along with girls without any problem, but he's getting stone drunk too often and doesn't value himself and is too judgemental on himself.
Me: Slow down, that's a lot of information and we have quite a ride to go over all these details.
AT: Plus, it's a Monday morning, (Sunday night) and I've done the same for the last 5 nights since Wednesday night. Gotten stone drunk.

To cut the long story short, when we arrived in Westwood, the first thing, I did, before I allowed AT to get into his car, was a field sobriety test. To ensure he was totally sober before I let him get into his car, I kept him talking to me, for almost another hour, until we parted ways and shared phone numbers. We arrived in Westwood at 2:25 AM and I didn't part with him, and continue on my way, until after 3:30 AM!

During the conversation, I shared with him, part of my life experiences and my journey. He asked me, if his life has no worth, what is there really that he can do about it? That's when I suggested, that my recommendation is, that he go to an AA meeting, (or two or three), he shouldn't even, or at least doesn't need to participate at all! and after the meetings, he should call me and we'll talk about how the meeting went.

As they say, the rest is history!!!

It has been a pleasure keeping in touch with AT, we have gone out for dinner to celebrate our birthdays, we text on a weekly basis if not more often, and I am honored to have been following his progress, his 2 promotions, him joining a Philanthropy Club and within the first year became the Board Director and Chairman of their biggest fundraiser! and he even got to meet the mayor of the Culver City and shake his hand to congratulate him on the money he raised for humanity!!! an experience he may never have had, were it not for the conversation we had in the Lyft ride on that warm night in June.

PS. I even have him saved in my phone, as: "Lyft Passenger A.. T....."
