I will try to document my journey.
Internet Explorer 7 wants to validate my windows. I cancelled that.
Internet Explorer 8 wants me to have SP3 that you can't find anywhere since Microsoft don't offer anymore updates or support for windows XP.
I was using Adobe reader 6, but decided to upgrade. and am now with version 9 from oldversion.com
Flash player for Mozilla Firefox doesn't want to install.
Google Drive sync doesn't want to work either with windows XP
